Originally from London, I relocated to Brighton some 10 years ago now, a move which reawakened my love of the coast.
Long and frequent walks on the beach inevitably led to further additions to a burgeoning treasure collection of flotsam and jetsam, driftwood, in fact anything that took my interest and warranted closer inspection. The many happy hours spent trawling the length and breadth of the shingle with various friends, children and dogs, followed by a long trek back to the car with a wet length of rope around my neck or a heavy chunk of damp driftwood denting my shoulder, are among my happiest memories.
Beachcombing became something of a passion.
My work utilises these beach finds either in their entirety, or when combined with natural materials to produce a sculptural object, which in the majority of cases sit happily either indoors or outdoors.
